When is the best time to visit Victoria Falls?

The warm and balmy climate of Victoria Falls make it an idyllic destination to visit all year round. Arguably, the best time to view the spectacular Victoria Falls waterfall is from February to May, after the summer rains. During that period, where the world’s largest sheet of falling water at its greatest volume. That said, the Falls are also majestic between October and December during low water season which offers a unique and clearer photographic period due to less mist from the pummeling waters.

What is the weather like in Victoria Falls?

During the summer months (September to March) temperatures are hot and can be humid, often with a chance of heavy thunderstorms in the late afternoon. The winter months (May to August) are generally mild and dry with a chance of a cold breeze in the evenings and early mornings. We recommend packing light layers with long sleeves when visiting.

What currencies are accepted?

The United States dollar is the most widely used currency in Zimbabwe, other currencies such as Rand, Pula, Euro and Pounds are accepted. You will also be able to use your Visa and Mastercard. Though cash withdrawals from ATMs is not always guaranteed.

Is tap water safe to drink?

The water in Victoria Falls is purified and safe to drink, and there is also an on-site water purifier available at Reception.

What plug points do you use?

The power points are 220V, and standard 3 pin square plugs are used. We do have universal wall adapters in every room.

Is there Wi-Fi access?

Miombo Mews is equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi available in every apartment.

Where can I book activities?

All activities can be pre-booked ahead of your visit or at our reception concierge which is open from 7am to 5pm. Activities booked during your visit will billed to your accommodation and can be settled upon check out.

What transport is available around town and how can I book this?

Our reception concierge can book and arrange certified transfers for your convenience. We advise pre-booking transport ahead of your visit, contact us to find out more.

Are meals available on site?
If you have chosen the Bed and Breakfast option our shuttle service will take you our breakfast locations of either The Lookout Café or La Piazza. Breakfast is served from 07h00 to 09h00 daily. Shuttles run every 20 minutes from 07h00 through to 08h40.

If you require an early packed breakfast, please let us know by 15h00 the previous day.

At Reception, you’ll find a selection of essential grocery items, meals to go and fresh coffee (available between 07h30 and 11h00) for your convenience. We also provide a filtered water refill station.

BBQ/Braai facilities are available in the entertainment area located near the pool.

Do you have an entertainment area?

Our on-site entertainment area is located near the shared swimming pool. Here guests can also make use of the available BBQ facilities.
